Classic orienteering event set over 5 courses, suitable for all abilities. Beginners welcome.
Start Location - TOPEC, Hydro Road. please park in paddock just before TOPEC, look for the orange flag.
Start between 1200-1330hr courses close at 1430hr.

WINTER LEAGUE
Orienteering Taranaki has now grown to the size where we want to introduce separate age/gender classes to our events so that for those looking to be competitive, the results show your performance against your peers. We also want to
ensure we continue to provide an enjoyable recreational run/walk to those with less competitive objectives.
To achieve this, we will be
1. Standardising on 5 courses over all of our events as below.
2. If you want to be in the championship league you need to enter theappropriate course for your class.
3. You can enter any course you wish, either harder or easier than the championship class.

Which Course Should I Enter?
If you wish to enter the championship league, pick one of the championship classes, you will be assigned to the course indicated above.
You are free to run up a grade. So (for example) if you are a W55+ or School Girl class but want to run Womens Open on course 1 you can.
If you want to run down a course and there for non-competitive that is fine - for example you are a M55+ but want to run Orange short then just enter Open Orange Short. You will be on course 4.
New to the sport or want to do a course as a family? read on -
If you are new to the sport we suggest you do your first event on a Open Yellow course. If you plan to do this as a team or family group and only need one map and Sport Ident rental then please enter and pay for just one person in your team or family and select Open Yellow map.
